If you’re thinking that your affiliate commissions could get highjack, you’re not alone.
In the last 30 days alone there were 320 searches for “Affiliate Link Cloaking” on Google; whether you believe it or not, affiliate commission theft is still a burning issue among affiliate marketers.
That’s sad because you’re actually making less money when you could be protecting your affiliate link and get paid entire commissions for your effort.

And before we get into the nitty-gritty please understand that each lost commission is a hole in your pocket, bank account or paypal account.
Affiliate Link Cloaking is a simple windows application you can instantly download and use to cloack all your affiliate links [yes, even ClickBank!]; it actually protects your commissions like a hawk.
The best feature I like about: it enables anybody create anti-highjacking, professional affiliate links [even a 8-year old could probably use this tool]
So you’re protecting yourself against rip-off, thus increasing the chance to fatter affiliate checks and full commissions.
What that means is you can sit back, relax and enjoy time with your loved ones, while this Affiliate Link Cloaking [I like to call it 'affiliate bodyguard'] fights the link thieves.
What I like about this is the simplicity … you type your affiliate link, click, and cloak … it really is that easy! :
What I don’t like about it – they only have a Windows version, so if you’re on a MAC, I think you’re not able to use the software.

Scary stuff…
Affiliate advertising is probably the least trusted form of monetizing known to bloggers.
#Jakub Bednar: how would you argument your affirmation?
It is sad that there are people of ill-repute that are dishonest to the point of stealing someones hard earned commissions.
Once again it seems that Codrut is looking out for the little man and giving us a fair advantage.
#Jeff Anderson: that’s their little “job” to steal from others…
Informative article!
I also found similar products on the market. Some of them take all of five seconds to change the affiliate link and hijack your commission! That is why I built in double-layered encryptions underneath the affiliate link cloak for extra protection. While there may be a very small handful of programmers out there that could manage to find your html source code and decrypt both layers, the effort and time involved simply.
What about a free service like tinyurl? It does the same job hiding your aff link. I’d like to hear from you about this and what’s the difference in usage.
Regards,
Romson
#Romson: it’s good but it’s nothing compared with a good affiliate link cloacker. Tinyurl is not cloacking your url, just hiding it
