Toyota Highlander --A Car Which Everyone Wants
I dreamed again last night about traveling across the nation in Josh's Toyota Highlander with my little brother Steve and our dog Rascal. When I woke up I couldn't get the thoughts out of my head and so I spent the morning (I should not be saying this because I was supposed to be working) reading Toyota Highlander reviews and getting pictures of Toyota Highlanders.
I print them all out and collage my walls with them. In the dream, Steve and I stop at quaint sites as we travel. You know, the world's largest ball of string, or the grousing haunted caves. Things like these. We roll down the windows and fix our heads out while Rascal looks at us like we have lost our minds.
The dream feels free and happy, as if there's nowhere I have to be. Nobody tapping their foot, waiting for me to complete a project. It's only me, the baby brother who thinks I'm a genius, and a lovable, scrappy little dog. We run the highways, living out the terrific adventure.
In actual life, my small, beat up car is the opposite of cool. My door leaks while I drive during the rains, and the blue smoke coming from my tailpipe gives me the feeling it doesn't have much longer to live. The end is coming, and I will be unhappy to see it go. Not least of all as I do not know where I will get the money to replace it.
Maybe it's time for me to follow this dream. I will save lots of money on fuel if I have the Toyota Highlander hybrid, right? Then Steve and I will be out of excuses. We'll have to throw caution to the wind and start our miraculous trip. Who knows where the wind will take us?
Perhaps I'll end up spending the summer waiting tables in a little diner in Nebraska. Maybe I'll start a road side stand in New Mexico and sell out hand-made t-shirts. I'll spend all my leisure time chasing Rascal around the park and teaching Steve how to skip rocks in the river.
And any time we feel we have had enough, we only need to save up sufficient fuel money to make it to the next town and leapfrog our way back home. Perhaps I'll not do it. Maybe I'll not even get the Toyota Highlander. But I sure like the way the dream feels.
