Autoresponders & Time Management For Affiliates – Part 1
I don’t know if you’ve downloaded, printed and read the PDF report I issued a few hours ago called “Time Management Shortcuts For Newbie Affiliates”…
Hint – if you haven’t done it, please do it after you finish reading this article.
There’s a quote in the PDF saying… “Time is our most precious asset, we should invest it wisely.” – Michael Levy |
I couldn’t agree more with that. Now, listen closely…
- If you want to HAVE more free time, you whether pay (hire) someone to do the tasks on your behalf, or you learn how to optimize your time better.
Here’s a PRACTICAL application for today. You can apply this even if you do NOT have an opt-in list yet.
This TIP only focuses on what and how to write the messages in your autoresponder… even IF nobody is reading it.
What you learn will aid you make money later on when you build your opt-in list.
Firstly you need to have a few follow-up message into place, way before you start to build a list with real opt-in leads (people reading your follow-ups).
So, do NOT start promoting your autoresponder address if you have NO follow-up e-mails loaded onto it!
It helps you generate more affiliate sales
- with autoresponders -
Autoresponders and Time Management?
Yes, they go hand in hand.
Follow these simple steps – and do it now, while reading the article…
It’s time you get an autoresponder and write one follow-up at a time.
This e-mail follow-up will promote JUST one affiliate product.
If you have no clue how and what to write, take this short tip:
- Keep it simple.
You want to avoid a hard sell. The key term here is a soft pre-sell.
You want the potential buyer (your opt-in lead) to join your autoresponder for more information.
Your aim is to educate leads in the first place,
and only promote after.
What to say in your first autoresponder?
Here’s a short template – replace the words in blue with your own terms and key phrases.
—
Dear (insert your lead name here)
I wanted to share with you a quick tip about “X topic or sub-niche”
that will help you “do something / get a specific result”
[ Briefly talk in your own words what this tip is all
about - give practical advice - something that the
reader will be able to instantly use.
Just think about how I'm doing with you right now. ]
How do I know this tip?
Hint – I’ve read about it at:
(here you insert your affiliate link)
—
Repeat the process, with the same affiliate product.
Do it several times per week.
Add (load) one new follow-up message every 48 hours onto your autoresponder.
People love these quick tips, just make sure you do not start promoting the link to your program first.
- Give the tip first, and make it practical – otherwise it will scream as HYPE.
And because of that you won’t make too much sales, if you’re lucky, one or even ZERO…
Stay tuned for more info. Next Time…

Hey Codrut
Is this post assuming we alreday have a list to mail to with autoresponder? or did I misunderstand something?
If not, how do we implement the autoresponder mailing(s), in conjunction with the forum postings you taught in the 1st 3 videos?
Thanks

Leo, I understand your confusion so let me clear it up for you.
Here’s the thing – this blog is about affiliate marketing for newbies – how to make a small fortune online… without paying for any advertising.
The $300 in 20 days challenge is just a small part of the entire blog project (which includes several info-products and coaching programs coming soon)
I did not create this blog for the $300 challenge itself. Know what I mean?
The article above is very practical – it can be applied EVEN if you have no list yet. But you need to learn how to promote your autoresponder.
The same principles should apply like you’d promote an affiliate link (e.g. forum marketing)
Plus, the article I created in this post it’s not targeted to the $300 in 20 days challenge at all…
Please read this:

Hi Codurt,
I like this post because what you wrote is entirely true. Our time is our most valuabe asset and I can definitely relate to that. Sometimes I procrastinate and allocate my time unproductively.
As for the autoresponders, yea, providing value to your suscribers is definitely important because once you build that relationship with your suscribers, they’ll eventually buy from you. Besides my email messages, I also provided my suscribers with two free ebook containing useful info. To my understanding, free stuff is always good.
As for me, I still have to build my list! You told me that I need at least 100-200 to start seeing some sales?

#Patrick: yes, an affiliate sale happens once you get 50-100 unique clicks; the average conversion ratio is 1%. so for each 100 targeted clicks you’re getting, you should be receiving one sale conservatively speaking. The deciding factor is the quality of the traffic and the product price/sales letter presentation…

So besides traffic, the product I promote must be enticing as well meaning, it has to be a hot product.
