Suck At Making Money Online? Blog About It!
If you haven’t been sleeping under a rock for the past six months or so, then you probably noticed that blogging and social media is extremely popular.
What you failed to realize however, that it’s your golden ticket to become an authority in your niche even you suck at what you do…
To understand why this is such a gold mine, you first need to grasp the idea behind blogging. Blogging is an online journal, a place where you can write your thoughts and share them with others.
The reason people read blogs is:
1. Entertainment
2. News
3. Community
How does all of this tie up with you being a lousy marketer?
Share your journey with your readers. Make it personal, make it vivid and emotional. People love stories. People are fascinated with other people. No matter where you are right now, there’s someone out there who will look up to you.
People will fall in love with your character and your beliefs. You’ll attract more like minded individuals who’ll connect with you and your thoughts. Inevitably you’ll grow a subscriber’s base (a list) and your business will take off.
Here’re a couple of ideas you can implement right now to start a successful blog:
1. Share your daily results.
As I’ve mentioned before, people love to read stories. That is why this approach is such a powerful one. Each day you take action will bring results (lack of results is also a result), therefore, each day you’ll have an insight to share with your readers which will make their lives better in one way or another.
After you’ve finished your “work day” take time to journal everything you did today, mistakes made and learned, profits made and money lost. Conclude each day with a thought or leave it open with a question.
2. Become a Reporter
Become a source of information for your readers. Collect the latest news and stories of the internet marketing industry and report back with a daily post summing up the latest news and how they will influence the future of the industry.
People love to get notified about the latest news and exclusive updates. That’s why everyone watches the news, although no one really needs to…
3. Ridicule
Do you think you’re funny? Use it to your advantage. Provide your readers with a different look on things.
Talk about internet marketing but be funny and outrageous about it. Say things other people are afraid to speak of. People will value that and get addicted to your content.
The reason I love blogging so much is because when you blog-you own the content. You have no editorial teams to cut your material with a huge samurai knife and force you into a square box.
Blogging allows you to be unique, authentic, personal and just crazy! Blogging doesn’t force you to be boring or safe. Remember what Seth Godin said in “The Purple Cow:” “Good is Boring and Safe is Risky.”
Don’t be good and don’t play it safe-a true recipe for internet marketing success!

I agree, even though blogging is fun and enjoyable for most people, the work involved in keeping up with the latest tech or gadgets and gizmoz can be exhausting. I have many blogs and when ever i discover something about SEO or a new plugin, i need to edit and implement ALL of my sites, not just one. whew !.. but i still love to blog!
Thank Codrut

There is no doubt about it. Being honest with your readers is the best strategy in the world however when you document your failures or lack of the results doesn’ t this prove that you are not an authority in your niche.

#Daisy Cole: you won’t want to document your lack of results, but admitting you’re not perfect and learning from your mistake is OK; this proves you’re not only an authority, it shows you’re genuine too. When you admit a flow in your product or the program you promote, people will think about you differently, as most “marketers” just hype about their promotions, and will say anything just to get the sale

I do not want to be like most “marketers”, but I still want the sale. I want to be geniune and offer my readers valuable content. How do you handle a comment someone has left on your blog or website pointing out a mistake you made in promoting the wrong program or product?

#Daisy Cole: I enable all comments, negative and positive, as long as they’re not rude or bash people directly…

I was envolved with a couple of internet training programs in the past and there were many flaws in the program. When I tried to document the short falls in the program to warn people that they do not need to spend the amount I have spent on their home business I find it hard to document the content without mentioning the program. I find it hard to get my point across without bashing the program. Is there any alternatives to this method.
