The First Thing You Need to Do After You Buy PLR Articles
If you’re like most PLR article buyers, once you download the package you let it sit on your hard drive, and do nothing about it…
The question I get asked the most about PLR is this:
“What do I do once I buy a PLR article pack?”
The worst thing would be to not download it.
The second worst thing … letting it collect dust on your desktop.
The third worst thing would be to postpone its use.
The best thing you can do right after you download the package is to open it and unzip it into a separe folder on your desktop.
The second best thing you can’t afford to miss is to start using the articles immediately.
How? Here are some practical ideas you can start using right now; you can implement all of them, or just a few, depending on your personal situation and niche.
PLR Idea #1 – Post the article on your site/blog and list
There’s nothing more exciting than present your readers/visitors with fresh, brand-new content. They love reading new stuff, that’s the first reason they’ve landed on your site and maybe joined your list.
Offering up to date content frequently to your site/blog and list is another brick you put on the wall to build trust and grow relationship with your people.
In reality most would not make the investment nor take their time to use the PLR article pack in a way to improve or make their readers/subscribers life easier.
Taking this path is suicide for any business, sooner than you might think.
PLR Idea #2 – Post the article to your EZA account
EzineArticles.com allows 100% original articles only. If they detect [and they have their own manual and automatic methods] you’re using PLR content in your article submissions, they reject your article, until it becomes original one hundred percent.
That doesn’t mean you can’t use your PLR article to get inspiration. Maybe it gives you a better idea for potential titles. Maybe it inspires you write a series of articles on specific topics. Maybe it shows you a new way of writing content. Possibilities are endless.
I think most affiliates [and marketers] totally neglect the power of PLR articles and miss on their full potential.
You should look at each article differently. Consider each PLR pack you buy [or own] as a platform to launch your own cash-generating machine.
- All or any of the articles you own could be turned into site/blog content and recycled back into your list
- All or any of the articles you own could attract more traffic to your [affiliate] links and get used for weeks, months and years to come
- All or any of the articles you own could be packaged into new formats and turned into multiple profit streams
For example…
PLR Idea #3 – Turn your articles into an e-Course
The most profitable way for you to make money online with a PLR article pack is to edit these articles, come up with your perspective on the content/topic, then put these tips into logical format or table of contents, then deliver each tip as a lesson through your autoresponder.
80% of all marketers are probably doing that already but their content is poor, and it’s not organized at all. That’s why they’re afraid to charge for information. Others are simply having no clue that some smart business people are profiting all day long, selling e-Courses [not eBooks] in various niche markets.
Wake up moment – if you polish the content and make it look good, and practical, if the content helps people’s problems or achieve their wants/needs, you can ASK for a measly fee and deliver the course by autoresponder.
Most people want and some buy information all day. It will never change. Most marketers give away their content, while others sell it. Do you have the courage to create your e-Course and sell it for $10 or more?

Codrut, What you say is very true.
You can even turn the contents of PLR eBooks into articles (rewritten of course) to submit to article directories or use as blog posts. You have to check the terms of the license as some restrict the use of the book for this. But often you can do what you like with them.
Really appreciate this series you are doing on PLR. I set up some PLR I bought just 2-3 days ago and set up a post on my blog and it wasn’t but 15 minutes later that I had my first subscriber.

I have been buying PLR to have on hand for members to use as a jump start into business when they joined our membership site. I have since rewritten several pieces and have even had one or two of my own pieces rewritten.
I must admit I had thought about using the PLR as income generating material was also one of my thoughts but I became distracted from that idea when my partner and I began building the membership site. We are running our prelaunch this week so perhaps I will be able to get back to working on the PLR very soon. Your articles jogged my memory and made me think about what my first interest in PLR was.
