Do you remember what is The Worst Mistake You Could Do When Using the Blog Commenting Strategy?
Hint – that’s using a link in the blog post itself.
Here’s the second worst mistake that the majority of newbies and even some experts are doing when commenting on other people’s blogs:
using something else other than their (full) name in the “Name” field
Here are 3 real examples from Codrut Turcanu dot com blog.
Three folks caught not following the advice below (and I have to confess that I got trapped in this mistake myself quite a bit when I firstly started to use the blog commenting strategy..)
Wake up call – unless you want to brand your business name or ‘spam’ blogs with keyword rich titles in the “Name” field, you want to include your full name and brand yourself on all the blogs you’re commenting on.
You already know that people buy form people (especially information) and NOT from a company or corporate image, so stop doing this mistake (if that’s your case).
If you had to learn and implement something new today that would be:
start using your real name (not business brand, or keyword title) in ALL your blog comments and you should see an improvement in subscribers, clicks and readers.
A smart application of today’s lesson would be to include both your full name and your domain name in the “Name” field.
I started to do something like this just recently and I’ve seen a boost in subscribers, clicks and readers.
e.g. - Codrut Turcanu I Codrut Turcanu dot com or Codrut Turcanu I AdSenseProfitTips.com
I have seen someone doing it on my blog too..
If you’re using this strategy at least you won’t be accused you’re commenting for the sake of it, or to get more (back-link) traffic and SEO benefits.
What’s next? A wake-up call to all the bloggers out there (successful or not, spammers, and the rest).

Hi Codrut,
For those of us who are just now catching on to social marketing, thanks for bringing us up to speed on the best way to interact. Using your real name goes against all the safety rules of don't give out personal information but if you think you aren't already on the web, just google your own name with quotes around it.
Thanks for referring to your posters in your lessons. It's a nice thing that you didn't have to do.
