The Worst Bloggers – Are You One of Them?

If splogging is a new term for you, don’t worry. It was new to me too, until I found what it means.

“Sploggers are almost certainly the most prolific plagiarists on the Web. A handful of determined and capable sploggers can swipe content from literally thousands of different sites, scraping their RSS feeds and taking their content as their own”

And you’re now probably wondering what is a splog..

“A splog (spam blog) is a fake blog created solely to promote affiliated Web sites, with the intent of skewing search results and artificially boosting traffic.” – Source: techtarget.com

Yeah, that’s bad marketing: black hat techniques, spamming, etc.

Some folks are probably making a killing with splogs, but in my opinion that’s something not ethical for a serious business owner or company.

I’ve recently found a few splogs myself.

How do I know?

They took parts of my blog posting contents and pasted it on their sites just hoping to get more traffic and rank higher in Google and trick the other search engines.

I find this almost each and every time I publish a new post, and that’s why I decide to moderate all my comments and delete those fake track back links & comments.

This is the worst blogging strategy some could use for an online business. Moreover, sploggers are the worst bloggers in my opinion because of three reasons.

they are stealing content because they don’t have the guts to create their own or can’t think with their own brain

they are using automated content to save time and run loads of splogs because they know time is money yet they still don’t get it what making money online really is about

they’re not building a unique blog nor brand themselves so they’re lacking the remarkable factor

Here’s a cool article on the topic – Are 33% of Blogs Really Splogs?

Let me know what do you think about this, and if you know one of the big gurus doing splogging..
