Hey Cathryn
This looks like a cookie cutter template like lots I see all over the web.
How do you drive traffic to it?
How do you capture visitor info?
Who is your target or niche market
Why would I go here instead of a Name Brand travel company? I have booked my travel with branded online sites for at least 10 years now
Sorry I could not be more helpful,,,shoot me a PM if you have a specific question

Hi Cathryn
Just taken a look at your site and these were my impressions.
At first, all I saw was Google ads! (which is fine if you want google clicks) I didn't even see the text you have about the service you offer because it was lost in the header graphic which screams 'business' - not travel
You also have other ads for website traffic etc which has nothing to do with what you're offering plus your site uses frames which isn't a good idea.
On a positive note, and if it was my site I would change the graphic to something bright and 'travel' orientated, get rid of the Google ads all together for the time being, change the intro text to normal text (black on white) and get rid of the distracting 'get more traffic' ads.
The thumbnail images look great, they make me want to click on them and find out more, so I reckon if they were the first thing people saw after your introduction when your page loads the site would capture more interest. After that of course it's marketing.......
good luck with your site.
Best wishes
David

Hello David,
Thank you for checking the site. We haven't had the google ads long. Someone told us it would help gain visitors to the site. Anyway I think you may be right, we shall probably reduce it to one line. The hardest thing is getting the site seen especially when on a really tight budget.
Thanks again
Cathryn

Hi Cathryn
I dont understand how Google adsense gets you more visitors? I think at the stage your at, you need visitors to stick around rather than leave straight away via Adsense Ads. I know the extra income is temping but perhaps is counter-productive at the moment?
I really think that if people see the thumbnails on your site first - they will see what your site is all about and not be put off by unrelated ads.
It is really difficult, this 'internet marketing' I've worked really hard on my site to try and get traffic. Funily enough I get quite good targeted traffic from forums like this one
Oh by the way I learnt a lot from the sitesell site for free

Anyway - good luck with your online venture..

|

Hi Cathryn,
I agree with some of the other comments... the google ads should go.
They will not bring traffic to your site but instead will take your
visitors away... those clicks are too valuable.
I would recommend putting a form in the place where the google ads
are located that captures email addresses from your visitors.
Offer them a free report or ebook on travel... or something of value
that is related to your niche.
Once you have their email address in your autoresponder hit them
with an email every few days... these emails should contain interesting
topics regarding your travel niche and occasional links to come back
to your site. You want to become the goto gal, the expert on this
niche. Then when they are ready to buy they come to you.
You want to make your site sticky... you need keep their attention
for as long as you can. You can do this with useful content, articles
and images from far away places. Use video to show them beautiful
places to go... whatever it takes to keep them at your site. Once
you have the content the search engines will promote your site and
the visitors will come.
I cannot stress how important it is to capture the visitors email address
because when you do get those hard to earn visitors, the likelihood of them
ever returning to your site on their own accord is very, very slim.
Most people will not purchase anything from you on the first visit. Once
you have their email address you can present them with offers, provide
them with useful information, and invite them back to your site
whenever you want.

|

Hi Cathryn,
Sorry to be blunt, but your site will put most people off because of the Google ads at the top and you'll lose sales if people click on those and leave your site.
Make your site personal. Put something of you into it. At the moment it's a bit bland and there's nothing different to your site that makes me want to buy from you.
The secret to success? do something that interests you.
Is this site about making money or something you're passionate about?
Create some articles about the locations and add them to your site. Get people interested and then recommend places to go.
Use the same articles and add them to article sites and you'll also get some visitors.
Don't give up, you're in a great niche.
Have a great day!

Hi Cathryn
Sorry can't blame you, but you've been mislead.
Pay close attention whom you take advice from.
1. AdSense is different than AdWords.
This is a common misconception, so listen closely.
AdSense pays you (you are lucky to make some pocket money)
AdWords helps you get traffic (you advertise at a cost)
These two go hand in hand because they're owned by Google.com
I'm not using them myself for profits, just for tracking & testing (e.g.
Google Analytics)
2. Your site is weak, focus on providing real information, wise tips,
educate buyers, give people a real reason to come back again onto your web site.
Motivate them stick with your content, read it, consume it - that's the key.
Your site makes me click the close button in less than 3 seconds, it's nothing useful for me in there.
FACT: My site stats (from my hosting control panel) show that
more than 95% of all my sites visitors close the browser in less than
5 seconds.
Use autoresponders to capture leads and turn them into buyers.
3. Remove all the ads, banners, search boxes. They lose profits.
Hope these tips cleared your confusion.
