I made four $20 commissions in clickbank for a total of $80.

I needed one more sale to reach the $100 mark to get paid.
The next sale never came. Months and months went by.
No more sales.

I just logged into my clickbank account recently and noticed that
my $80 had shrunken down to 50 something dollars.

First clickbank started charging me $1 per month.
Then they got SLICK and started charging me $5 per month.

I wonder if after they suck all the money out of my account,
they will say that I owe THEM money?

Hello

Clickbanks TOS clearly outline the commission terms,,,,,about # of sales, and # of credit cards to release first commission check.

Unfortunately most of us never read the TOS until after we have an issue,,,it surprised me too,,,

If you sell consistently that is not really an issue,,,but it is a disappointment I am sure for many newbies. Not sure what their corporate rationale is ,,,seems counterproductive,,,somehow

Given that CB is not going to change its policies, what that means for us marketers is that we absolutely MUST create effective campaigns that will yield the minimum results to enable the monthly payments. If for instance you know that the individual commissions on a product are $20, and the minimum amount in your account needs to be $100, then you know you need to sell at least 5 per month in order to get your money.

Whatever you did to get the first 4 sales, repeat. Or do something else, to get 5 or 6 or 7 sales total -- whatever it takes to "cover your nut".

The thing is, once you get rolling at it, you can replicate the strategies you used, month to month so that you get a paycheck each month.

When you know the rules of the game, you can go in and plan your actions so that you win. Otherwise yes -- you have something to lose. So don't play a losing game! Go back in there and make the additional sales -- even if it's for a different product -- and get that paycheck.

That's what i would do. Up to you though. Hope you see some payback for your efforts soon!

Best of luck.

I agree with Nancy. You cannot let something like CB sit dormant. You've got to keep making sales.

Also, at least for this forum, you need a more personal website in your sig line, or at least your own squeeze page. Bouncing us to an affiliate sales page seems counterproductive in a forum.

But I realize you're at least trying, as are we all. Keep on Keepin' On as Gladys Knight would say.

You should be able to change the minimum payment amount so this doesn't keep happening.

It's best that when you deal with more complex problems like this, ask
ClickBank because only them are able to provide you with
eligible support.

Hope that helps.

Once again, great advice from the forum.

I tried changing my payment option from $100 to $50 as someone suggested,
but it keeps bouncing back to $100. I guess it really is Slickbank.

So, I shall do as the rest of this forum suggested and try to make more sales (not that I wasn't trying before).
I know Codrut is a Clickbank Master so perhaps he will grace the forum with a couple tips

Shagmiser, you were right about my signature file going to Stone Evans PIP site being counterproductive.
It hasn't worked for me at all. PIP is the PITS.

Thanks for all your help. I will let you know WHEN I start making more Slickbank sales.

Hey Carl,
As you found out, it won't help to change the pay out. Clickbank won't pay out until you have satisfied the following:

1. You may not have reached your selected payment preference, which is the minimum amount of money that must be in your account before we send you a check. In your account you may select an amount from $10 to $10,000 as your payment preference. The default setting is $100. We hold your check until your payable balance reaches this amount.

To change your payment preference, simply login to your account, click the "Account Settings" tab. Select the desired amount from the drop down menu for "Payment Threshold", and click the "Save Changes" button.

2. You may not have met the Customer Distribution Requirement:

ClickBank accounts cannot be used for the sole purpose of collecting rebates or otherwise extending credit to yourself or others. In compliance with US law, ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until it contains standing sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers, including at least one Visa card, and one MasterCard. PayPal and eCheck purchases do not count toward the minimum.

It's actually a good thing as it gives you incentive to go get more sales. ( I try to always look or find something positive about these things - it makes my mood better and the day goes better.) So, go on and get those sales and have a great day!
Regards,
Chuck

Better spend your time to promote more than to deal with all that fuss. A total waste of time and an invitation of frustration.

Yes, keep promoting your CB affiliate products, the right way
and forget about your problem. It's not a big issue anyway.

You want to make a few hundreds and receive a bigger
check
