So long as you aren't posting each and every hour, that's ok. I have a hard time subscribing to sites that update multiple times a day. It's a bit overwhelming.

Yes, each and every hour. I am the most productive IM copywriter. Wait and you'll see. Call me the CNN of affiliate marketing/blogging :)

P.S. You don't have to join for email/RSS updates (I won't be offering such though) — just bookmark the link and visit often. The sidebar categories will help select the content that you like the most (videos, how-to posts, interviews, etc)

If you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know! I am doing this for new & returning visitors and subscribers.

Though posting more entries in a day may put the quality of your output at risk, of course Google still wants high quality content besides its freshness. I personally choose to publish sticky and in-depth blog posts on my blog rather than shorter ones, I think it's still working.

I may not. I think people confuse lengthy posts with quality content. I could write a 300-word article and keep it quality high, if it's useful enough and teaches readers something in their benefit, something they could profit from within minutes, correct?

You could publish in depth blog posts and still have low quality packed inside. Don't think that a sticky, lengthy article is guaranteed to reflect high quality. Your research shows its quality though….

Regarding the maintenance of blog or website popularity with Google, I guess it comes down to a compromise between regularly updating the actual blog or site, while also posting content to sites or directories that provide high PR back links to your site.

I don't think Google really looks at how often you maintain/update your blog/website since it's not like majority of the people update their websites on a regular basis. I reckon it's more on the quality of your posts and how relevant it is for the searchers and not the difference in timestamps. Then again, it is still helpful if you're regularly updating your website/blog since people will come back to it every once in a while to check out what's new.

    Just my 2 cents
