Not All Affiliates are Techie Geniuses – But They Still Make Money Online
Posted by Codrut Turcanu / Blog for ProfitNov 30
This post talks about an important affiliate marketing issue; I want to expose to you the biggest myth – that you need to be a techie person to make money online.
In fact, that’s not truth. I have friends making a full time living on the Internet who barely know how to FTP or change DNS [and that's basic stuff most newbies who probably know how-to by doing a Google research]
What smart affiliates don’t tell you is that they have a custom blog that gets traffic and makes money… but they paid someone else do the “techie” work
For example, instead of manually installing a blog [which takes a few days to figure it out how to do it], you could host WordPress on your server [most provides have one-click install or Fantastico] within minutes.
This is just one aspect, not to mention search engine optimization, plugin add-on, and all the bells and whistles.
And because I want to help the newbies have their own money-making blog, I decided to create this custom blog service for ClickBank affiliates only
What you don’t know by now is that it’s in your best interest to control a custom-made WordPress blog that gets traffic and makes money While enjoying life with your loved ones!
Don’t let the techie side of business scare you, don’t let this part stop you from making a living online, that’s crazy!
Get your custom blog setup right here and if you have any questions post your comments below and I’ll answer right away.

It’s true Codrut. There is a lot of help available now if you want to set up your own website. If you can follow a step by step guide you can create a blog or website especially with Fantastico.
#Sean: good, so you have your blog online?
Yes based on your suggestions I used Wordpress to set up a simple site using the Thesis Theme. It was very user friendly (click on my name to see it).
At the moment it’s a work in progress, I just wanted to get to know how to use wordpress, so i’ll be adding to it and modifying it as I go on.
Hi Codrut,
Thanks for the great post. Wish I came across this when I was starting out.
I was also scared of the technical side of things, especially where WordPress is concerned. I really wanted to start an online business and begin blogging. I realized that i could not let fear and doubt stop me from achieving my goal. So one day I decided to just simply put fear aside and started to gather as much info as i could about WordPress and blogging. Surprisingly it was not as hard as I thought. There is a lot of info out there and video tutorials about setting up your own blog from scratch, and within a few days i was able to install my first self hosted blog and learned how to install plug-ins. Now I have quite a few blogs.
I think the biggest issue is fear and doubt in a lot of peoples minds. Its nice to see that you have provided a service that will help newbies to the game have a chance to own their own blogs and begin to make a living online.
I must agree fully with what you are saying about wordpress. I have set up 3 sites using wordpress and although I know a little about HTML I would never be able to build my own website as fast as you can using wordpress, But do you think it is worth learning about how to alter wordpress site so that you can add your own page templates at a later stage ?
#Garry Booton: yes, learning WP is key to blogging and site design in general. It’s awesome when you know you could be using that skill in your advantage, or get paid for building blogs/sites for clients. I use it in both ways
Codrut, Although I am not a new to the technical side of things, It has taken a while to get a blog off the ground, there are so many thing that you can do however
sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming and confusing.
It is great to know there is precise information available for those that want to succeed online and also
do it ourselves hence more profits.
I echo Codrut’s reply Garry, Learning WP is something that should be considered relevant when considering building WP blogs. I mean why just settle for knowing the basics, when acquiring that knowledge would in time save you money cause you can do it yourself and also make you some serious cash cause now you’ll be acquiring a very marketable skill.
#Jeff Anderson: yeah, I kind of learned WP in 3 weeks, and I still learn new things on a regular, although the basics are mastered by now…
#Lyndon V Irvine: I’m all about learning skills and building assets – that’s what gives your business the edge and long-term income windfalls…
Are there any e-books or preferably videos that show you how to really get deep into Wordpress. I mean the basics are easy to learn and most Internet products show you how to install and monetize a blog, add a new theme etc, but I haven’t seen any that shows you how to get down and dirty into the code or use Artisteer to create new blog themes etc. I want to be able to create custom blogs and really awesome looking themes. I was in talks with a guy from Scriptlance to teach me personally. He’s an amazing programmer but that doesn’t mean he will be a good teacher.
#Lyndon V Irvine: I don’t think so. Maybe hire me teach you my system
The i play with word press it tends to get alot easier,I guess patience and dedication is the key to learning anything. Maybe soon there will be a video or course that lays it all out>
I actually meant to say the more i play with wordpress, I guess i should type a little slower?
#Jeff Anderson: no, type in faster, and pay attention at your writing at the same time, most bloggers won’t like additional comments just for clarifying on typos, you know? lol
Hi Codrut, I guess I may take you up on your offer. When the holidays are over of course. This is a really hectic time.So I will be able to get into that as soon as the season is over. Thanks a lot.
#Lyndon Irvine: yeah, the same here – at full speed!
Hi guys…Boy did I do things backwards..lol. I learned all the hard stuff first, and THEN looked into blogging…hahaha. Lyndon…I have some video tutorials that will help if you want them. Send me an email and I’ll get them out to you, okay? does anyone else need anything? My hard drive is FULL of stuff that I have never, (and probably won’t ever) use.
Hi Paul. Thanks a mill. I would love that. Once its not basic stuff. I know all the basic stuff. I want to be able to alter themes and understand PHP etc. I want to be able to dissect WordPress and put it back together again. LOL. How would I get my email to you Paul? I don’t want to leave it here in the open.
Hey Paul I know how it is, I have a hard drive full of PLR, trying to think of what i should do with it.
Might be good to use for building an email list.
Lyndon, my email is homephixer at yahoo. i don’t know how in depth it goes ’cause I have never used it…lol. Codrut’s plan of hiring him might be better.
Jeff…PLR is an awesome way to build your list. You just have to be careful and read the agreement before you do. Most PLR has a “NO Giveaway” clause in it. It’s better to stay on the safe side and make sure. You CAN bundle it, however with a paid deal. This works great!
If energy were stone, I’d be Mount Rushmore right now. Coffee anyone? LOL
Hi Paul,
Thanks,
I’ll be in touch. I want to check it out and see what its like.
Yeah Codrut also has a great idea as well. May take him up
on that.
I think custom blogs are better than manually installed blogs even if one knows WP coz after blog gets installed one still may not be able to get SEO , niche or keyword research right or maybe anything else , but in custom blog everything is already done correctly whether it is themes , plugins , niche research , SEO , blog content and everything , which saves time and there is high income probability .
