I paid $500 for a blogging class that was supposed to teach me
How to Make $500 a month with a blog.

After posting to this blog every few days for the past year,
I've made a total of about $20 bucks. Whoppee!

Perhaps you guys can help me figure something out.
My weblog stats tell me I'm averaging about 75 visits per day.
To date, I've received over 1,300 spam comments and
NOT ONE SINGLE LEGITIMATE COMMENT.

How it is possible to have over 2,000 visits a month for almost a year,
and not one single person has left a comment?

I invite everyone to check it out and post a comment.

(THIS LINK HAS BEEN REMOVED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR BECAUSE

Much thanks for your help!

hello Money Plus

Since the link to your blog is removed by admin.....cannot comment, but
when I clicked on your sig file you send me directly to Stone Evans Affiliate Sales page

So you end up sending your hard earned click from me to somebody else.
I was not interested.......

Learn to capture your own leads - check what happens on my sig file

Since I can't see your blog (maybe for a while you could put the link to your blog in your sig file instead of a different url, so that we could visit and check it out and give you feedback) -- I don't know what to say about why you're not getting visitors.

But here are some common reasons i know about (that you can easily work on and change):

1) Are you using targeted keywords for the headlines of your posts?
2) Are your posts content-rich and relevant, with keywords that are appropriate for your topic?
3) Are you doing any kind of marketing efforts to drive traffic to the blog?
4) Do you know where you are getting your current traffic from? If so, you can build on that -- whatever it is, do more of it, more often.
5) Are you using additional web2.0 tools to drive traffic? I'm talking about squidoo, facebook, myspace, apsense, and so on.

In many ways, blogs are not that much different than web sites -- you can't just throw one up, sit back and wait for something to happen. It doesn't work that way. You still have to build relationships with your target markets in whatever ways are comfortable for you -- and more to the point -- in all the ways that work.

It seems clear that whatever you are doing now isn't working for you. Why not try something different, and go for better results?

One last word. I used to expect "instant" results with my online efforts. Now I realize that building relationships (and sales) takes time -- but if I am thorough, I will get those results. And while I am "waiting" I better be darn sure I'm accomplishing something effective that will lead to sales (such as writing articles, creating lenses, link exchanges, building a mailing list, and so on.)

Hope this helps!.

Hmmmmmm.... 2000 visitors a month and no comments or sales sounds like your visitors aren't very targeted. Since the link was removed from your post, I can't comment on your blog, but something is obviously wrong.

Let us know where your visitors are coming from, what you're doing to drive traffic to your blog and we'll try to help.

Oops. Sorry about the live link (which was removed).

Thank You to all who have responded.
I actually picked up a few decent tips from your comments.

I once again invite everyone to check out my blog and try to
post a comment. 2,000 hits a month for a year and not a single
comment. As Shakesphere said "Something's rotten in Denmark".

I put the link in my sig file.

Best Wishes to all!

In your sig link, you need to make it "live" so that we can click on it and it will go to your URL (in this case your blog.)

Here is how to do that.

1. put this in front of the url (exactly like this):
2. type your url (or blog link in this case -- which is still a url
) immediately behind with no spaces
3. immediately behind the url you entered, put this (exactly as written):

What this does is to "tell" the system to make the link "live" -- and then to return to the normal way everything else appears.

So here's how that would look when you type it:

(no spaces)http://www.mywebsite.com(no spaces)

That should do the trick. Try it and see.

Nancy is right. I agree with most of her comments.

Check this out -

Try to always target your visitors with the right content (at the
right time) and put the AdSense ads at the bottom, if you really want to
make money off Google.

It's important you learn A-Z about your target market and know your
customers needs and wants like you know your palm.

Did you know this?

Content is king - so focus on providing visitors with real helpful, practical content and the money will follow.

It's crucial you get the right traffic, laser-targeted traffic. It's not about quantity, quality is what really matters.

You have a lot to learn and try in this IM world. So here are my
suggestions
:

1. Stick with this forum and blog.
2. Do one thing at a time.
3. Learn from one IM expert (me?), not two or more.
4. Post traffic questions in the right section.

Cheers.
